CDSR (Center for Development of Sustainable Region) is a part of the SHERA (Sustainable Higher Education Research Alliance) Project, supported by USAID Indonesia. CDSR is conducting a multidisciplinary research collaboration, with goals to implement hybrid energy system, energy efficiency and supporting networks to develop sustainable tropical archipelago.
The CDSR organization is led by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) together with seven other university affiliates, namely University of Colorado Boulder (UCB), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Institute Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG), Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo (UMG).

Our Mision
(1) Formalized the proposed CDSR as a important hub in ASEAN higher education development with strong partnership to USA HEIs;
(2) Integration of relevant content of e-learning in UGM, UI, ITB, IPB, UBB, UNG and UMG developed by faculty members involved in the proposed CDSR;
(3) Developing CDSR as a significant locomotive for research development in HEIs, mainly in eastern part of Indonesia;
(4) Optimization of role of the CDSR to accelerate capacity development of Indonesia industry in renewable energy and green city;
(5) Optimization of role of the CDSR to strengthen the functional network to several relevant ministries to develop sustainable archipelago
